The Band ring with Vesuvius stone is made of 925 silver, with lava stone set in 18k gold and engraved by hand. The engraving depicts the Greek goddess Athena.

Athena, for the Romans Minerva, is the Greek goddess of wisdom, war and the arts. Often depicted wearing a robe and armed, she was celebrated for her medical and prophetic abilities. The image on the pendant sees the Goddess represented with a helmet.

For the ancients, jewels did not just represent a tool for affirming one's social status, but more and more often they were real amulets, or they were vehicles of belonging to ideas and cultures.

Historical Curiosities

The lava stone used for this ring comes from Vesuvius, famous for the eruption of 79 AD. which buried the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Lava stones have always been considered symbols of resilience, regeneration and inner strength, as they are born from the destructive power of a volcano and then solidify into lasting forms.

In ancient times, the Romans believed that lava stone possessed protective properties and often used it in jewelry and amulets to ward off negative influences. Wearing a jewel with Vesuvius stone not only means wearing a piece of history, but also recalling the energy of one of the most powerful volcanoes in the world.
